Setting a goal
Ask Nova to set a goal in plain language. You can be as specific or general as you like. Nova will confirm the details before saving anything. Examples:- “Set a goal to reach 500 registrations for my triathlon by the end of August.”
- “I want 2,000 sign-ups for my marathon before early-bird pricing ends.”
The goal preview card
The preview card shows:- The goal’s title and the event, race, or ticket it applies to.
- Your current position and the target, side by side.
- A progress bar showing how far along you are today.
- The deadline and how many days remain.
- A brief note on what’s next or what progress means in context.
What a goal tracks
A goal tracks registrations, the number of participants signed up for an event. You tell Nova the number you want to reach and the date you want to reach it by. Every goal is scoped to a specific event, race, or ticket. Just tell Nova what it applies to when you ask. You can set a goal at the race level within an event, so a single triathlon or multi-distance race can track each distance separately. Goals can’t be set across your whole portfolio at once, because a target only tracks accurately when it’s tied to a specific event, race, or ticket.- “Set a goal of 5,000 entries for the 10K by 1 July.”
Tracking goals on your home page
Once a goal is set, Nova shows a visual progress tracker on your home page. It plots how far you are toward the target and compares your pace to the same point last year, based on where you are in the event’s life cycle. This makes it easy to see at a glance whether you’re ahead or behind. You can also add a goal from the home page. Click Add new goal and describe what you want to track.Checking progress
Ask Nova at any time how a goal is tracking:- “How am I doing against my registration goal?”
- “Am I on track to hit my target for the summer series?”
