Your account manager creates the initial membership scheme and enables the feature for your account. Contact them before starting setup.
Before configuring your membership, decide on the structure: how many pricing levels (tiers) you want, whether you need family or group plans, and what benefits members will receive. Changes to tiers and offerings after launch can affect existing members, so it is worth planning this upfront.

Setting up tiers

A tier is a pricing level within your membership — for example, Standard and Premium. Each tier can carry a different price and a different set of benefits.
1

Open your membership settings

In your dashboard, navigate to Memberships and open your membership scheme.
2

Add a tier

Click Add tier and give it a name — for example, Standard or Premium. Add a short description that participants will see when they are choosing a tier.
3

Repeat for each pricing level

Add as many tiers as you need. Most programs work well with two or three — too many options can slow down the purchase decision.

Setting up plans

A plan defines the group structure of a membership — how many adults and children it covers. If you only sell individual memberships, you need one plan. For family or group memberships, create a plan for each structure you offer.
1

Add a plan

Click Add plan and give it a name — for example, Individual, Couple, or Family.
2

Set the member count

Enter the number of adults and children the plan covers. For family plans, you can also set a maximum child age.

Setting up offerings

An offering is the product participants actually buy — a specific combination of a tier and a plan, with a price and a purchase type. You need at least one offering before your membership can go on sale.
1

Add an offering

Click Add offering and select the tier and plan you want to combine.
2

Set the price

Enter the price for this combination. Prices are set in your account’s default currency.
3

Choose the purchase type

Select Subscription if the membership should renew automatically each year, or One-time if participants pay once for a fixed period with no automatic renewal.
4

Set the subscription renewal date (subscriptions only)

For subscription offerings, set the date the membership renews each year — for example, the start of your season or the calendar year.

Adding benefits

Benefits are the perks members receive. You can add two types: discounts on event entries and guest passes.

Discount benefit

A discount benefit reduces the price of event entries for members.
1

Add a discount benefit

In your membership settings, go to Benefits and click Add benefit, then select Discount.
2

Choose the discount type

Select one of three options:
  • Percentage discount — a percentage off the ticket price (for example, 10% off).
  • Flat discount — a fixed amount off the ticket price (for example, $5 off).
  • Member price — a fixed price members pay regardless of the public ticket price.
3

Set the discount amount

Enter the value for the discount type you selected.
4

Restrict to specific events (optional)

By default, the discount applies to all your events. To limit it to specific events or occurrences, add event restrictions in the benefit settings.
5

Set a usage limit (optional)

If you want to cap how many times a member can use the discount, enter a maximum number of uses. Leave blank for unlimited uses.

Guest pass benefit

A guest pass benefit lets members share a limited number of discounted tickets with friends or family.
1

Add a guest pass benefit

Click Add benefit and select Guest passes.
2

Set the number of passes

Enter how many guest passes each member can create per period.
3

Set the guest discount

Enter the percentage discount applied to the guest’s ticket price. Set to 100 to make guest passes free.
4

Choose whether passes reset on renewal

Turn on Resets on renewal if you want members to receive a fresh allowance of guest passes each year when their subscription renews. Leave it off to give members a lifetime total that never resets.

Offering the membership during event checkout

You can surface your membership to participants as they register for an event. Participants who do not yet hold an active membership will see a membership step during checkout. Existing active members skip this step automatically and receive their member discount on the ticket.
1

Open the event's settings

In your dashboard, go to the event you want to enable the upsell for and open its setup.
2

Enable the membership upsell

Find the Membership section in the event’s setup and turn the upsell on. You can enable or disable the upsell per event occurrence independently.

Discount codes with memberships

Discount codes work on membership purchases. A 100% discount code makes the membership free at checkout; participants complete the standard purchase flow and receive a full membership record. Partial discount codes (for example, 50% off) reduce the purchase price by that amount.
