Bulk buy discount lets you reward participants who book several tickets in a single order. You set up one or more tiers — for example, “5 or more tickets = 10% off” — and the discount is applied automatically at checkout once a participant’s basket reaches a tier. There’s no code for them to enter. The discount is set up once at the organizer level and applies across your events. It’s a good way to encourage group bookings — friends, clubs, teams, and families buying together. You can turn it off for any event you don’t want it on, using the Enable Bulk Buy discounts toggle in that event’s Sales options. When it’s on for an event, it applies to all tickets in that event — you can’t limit it to specific tickets.
For the discount to reward a basket that spans several of your events, participants need to be able to add tickets from different events to one basket. That requires Multibuy in each event’s Sales options to allow tickets from your other events. If you keep Multibuy to a single event only, the discount still works within that event’s basket — it just won’t combine tickets across events.

Percentage off

Take a percentage off the qualifying tickets — for example, 10% off once the basket reaches 5 tickets.

Fixed amount off

Take a fixed amount off the order once the basket reaches a tier.

How a participant earns the discount

The discount is automatic. As a participant adds tickets to their basket, the checkout tracks how many they’ve selected and applies the best tier they qualify for:
  • The discount only applies to paid tickets. Free tickets don’t count toward a tier and never get a discount.
  • A percentage discount comes off the total price of the qualifying paid tickets in the order.
  • A fixed amount discount comes off the order once the tier is reached.
  • The participant always gets the best tier their basket qualifies for — if they reach a higher tier, the larger discount applies.
  • When a basket spans multiple events, your organizer-level tiers determine the group discount — adding more tickets automatically upgrades the participant to the larger discount.
When the discount is active, the participant sees a line on their order summary reading “Bulk buy discount” with the amount deducted.

Setting up your discount tiers

You configure bulk buy discount from your dashboard, under GrowthBulk buy discount. You need an Editor or Admin role on the organizer account to change these settings — a Viewer can’t. If the controls are grayed out, ask your account owner to grant you the right role.
1

Turn the feature on

Switch Enable bulk buy discount on. While this is off, no discounts are offered and any tiers you’ve entered won’t apply.
2

Add a discount tier

Under Add new discount, fill in the tier:
  • Number of tickets — the quantity a participant must reach to unlock this tier. The minimum is 2 tickets.
  • Discount Type — choose Percentage (%) or Minus (-) for a fixed amount.
  • Discount % or Discount (shown with your currency symbol) — the size of the discount. A percentage must be between 0 and 100. A fixed amount must be 0 or more.
Click Add to add the tier to your list. If you use a ticket count that already exists, the new entry replaces the old one when you save — check Current discounts after saving to confirm each tier reads the way you intended.
3

Add more tiers (optional)

Repeat to build a ladder of discounts that grows with basket size — for example, 2+ tickets = 5% off, then 5+ tickets = 10% off. Your tiers are listed under Current discounts, sorted by ticket count. To remove a tier, use the delete button next to it in the list.
4

Save your changes

Click Save Changes to publish. The button stays disabled until you’ve made a change, so if it’s grayed out there’s nothing new to save. To remove every discount, switch Enable bulk buy discount off and save.

What the participant sees in checkout

As participants choose tickets, a banner highlights the discount and nudges them toward the next tier. The exact message depends on where they are: If you’ve set up more than one tier, the banner also shows the full ladder so participants can see what’s on offer — for example, “2 or more = save 5%” and “5 or more = save 10%”.
