Overview

Some add-ons are physical items you mail out — a race t-shirt, a medal, a finisher pack. When an add-on is set to be shipped, checkout asks the participant for a delivery address before they can pay. You control this with a single Fulfillment setting on each add-on. The shipping address section only appears when the basket contains at least one add-on you’ve marked Ship to buyer. You only need one shippable add-on in the basket to trigger the address section — a registration buying several shippable add-ons still provides a single address, and everything for that registration ships to the same place. If every add-on is picked up on race day (or has no fulfillment method set), checkout never asks for an address.

The add-on is mailed out. Checkout collects one delivery address for the registration.

The add-on is collected in person. No address is requested.

Marking an add-on as shippable (organizers)

Each add-on has a Fulfillment section where you choose how it reaches the participant.

Open the add-on

From your event dashboard, go to the Merch area and open the add-on you want to configure.

Set the fulfillment method

In the Fulfillment section, set Fulfillment method. The description reads:
Choose how this add-on will be delivered to the buyer.
Pick one of:

Save the add-on

Save your changes. From now on, any registration that includes this add-on will be asked for a shipping address at checkout.

What the participant sees at checkout

When a basket contains a Ship to buyer add-on, a Shipping address section appears in the payment step, introduced with:
Your order contains items that need to be shipped. Please confirm where to send all the items for this registration.
The participant first chooses who the order ships to:
  • The first participant — shown by name, with their address pre-filled from their registration details. This is selected by default.
  • Somewhere else — choosing this reveals a first name, last name, address, and (optional) phone number to fill in.
First name, last name, and a complete address are required before they can continue. Phone is optional. The participant can’t reach payment until a valid shipping address is in place. If the address fails to save, they’ll see a prompt to try again — refreshing the checkout and re-entering usually resolves it.
