Sales options is the section of your event setup that controls how your tickets sell. These settings apply at the event level (not per ticket) and govern how participants can combine and pay for tickets. Turning each one on changes what participants can do at checkout. This page explains what each option does and when to use it. Two of them — Bulk Buy and Payment Plans — have their own detailed pages, linked below.

When to use each option

Use Sales options to set rules for the whole basket, not an individual ticket. The section groups four controls:

Multibuy

Let participants buy more than one ticket type — or tickets to your other events — in a single transaction.

Bulk Buy discounts

Automatically discount larger orders, using the tiers you set in your Bulk Buy settings.

Payment Plans

Let participants spread the cost across monthly installments.

Day-of ticket purchases

Keep tickets on sale right up until the race starts.

Multibuy

Multibuy controls whether a basket can hold more than one ticket type. Even with it off, a participant can buy several of the same ticket — five 10K entries, for example. With it on, they can mix types in one transaction — five 10K entries and five 5K entries — or add tickets to your other events. When Multibuy is on, a second control appears — What ticket combinations can customers add to their basket? — which sets whether participants can only combine tickets within this event, or also add tickets from your other events.
When a basket can hold tickets to more than one race at the same event, participants are warned that those races may be happening at the same time.
Turn Multibuy on for events where people naturally book together — a family entering different distances, or someone adding a ticket to another of your events. Leave it off if each participant should only ever buy one ticket type at a time.

Bulk Buy discounts

Bulk Buy discounts apply an automatic discount to larger orders. Participants get a discount when they buy multiple tickets, based on the tiers you configure.
This toggle only appears if Bulk Buy is enabled on your organizer account. If you don’t see it and want to offer bulk discounts, contact your Let’s Do This account manager.

Payment Plans

Enable Payment Plans lets participants split the cost of an event into monthly installments instead of paying in full. Once it’s on, you can opt specific tickets out from the Tickets area. When you enable it, two settings appear:
  • Maximum number of monthly payments — the cap on installments, between 2 and 30 (default 4). The number a participant actually sees is calculated at checkout from the time remaining.
  • Last possible payment date — as this date approaches, the number of monthly payments reduces to fit the time available.

Allow day-of ticket purchases

Allow day-of ticket purchases keeps your event on sale on the day it happens. With it off, once the event start passes the ticket selection page is no longer accessible and participants see an “Event passed” notice. With it on, tickets remain buyable on the day. For this to apply to a given ticket, the ticket’s sales window has to extend past the event start — set its Available until date to the day after your event, at 23:59.

How these settings combine

These options are independent — you can turn on any combination. A few interactions worth knowing:
  • Multibuy and Bulk Buy work together: bulk discounts apply across the multiple tickets a participant adds in one basket.
  • Payment Plans can be turned off for individual tickets even when enabled at the event level — you do that on the Tickets tab, not here.
  • Day-of purchases depends on each ticket’s own Available until date, so check your ticket sales windows after enabling it.
