Corporate teams is a specialized feature for workplace and corporate event
programs. This page describes how it works. If you’re interested in using it
for your event, contact your account manager.
Setting up a corporate team program
Corporate teams are configured under the Teams tab in event setup, the same place as standard teams.1
Open the Teams tab
In your event setup, go to the Teams tab and click Create team setup.
2
Name the team setup and select Corporate
Give the setup a name for your internal use, then select Corporate as the team type.Corporate teams do not use ticket restrictions or team roles — those options are not available for this type.
3
Set team size limits
Enter a Minimum team size and a Maximum team size if needed. Leave either blank to set no limit on that end.
4
(Optional) Prevent participants from starting new teams
Toggle on Prevent new corporate teams if you want to stop participants from creating their own corporate teams at checkout. With this on, participants can only join an existing team — useful when all teams are created centrally by captains.
5
Save
Click Save. The corporate team setup is now active.
Captains and co-captains
Corporate teams display a Captains section at the top of the Members tab, separate from the general member list. A team can have one main captain and one or more co-captains. To add a co-captain from the team page:1
Open Manage team
On the team page, open Manage team and select Add Team Captain.
2
Enter the co-captain's email address
Type in their email address and click Generate login. A unique, single-use login link is created.
3
Share the link
Copy the link and send it to the co-captain. When they follow it, they sign in (or create an account) and are given captain-level access to the team page, where they can view and purchase entries and add-ons.
Buying tickets for team members
Corporate team captains can purchase entries on behalf of participants directly from the team page. From the Members tab, click Add tickets to open the ticket purchasing flow:1
Select a ticket
Choose the ticket type and the number of entries to purchase.
2
Choose whether to contribute
Decide whether you want to cover part or all of the ticket cost for each participant (a subsidy). If you choose not to contribute, participants pay the full price themselves.
3
Set the subsidy amount
If you’re contributing, enter the amount or percentage you’ll cover per ticket. The remaining balance is what each participant pays.
4
Review and confirm
Review the total cost and what each participant will pay, then confirm.
5
Share the invite URL
After confirming, you receive an invite URL. Share it with participants so they can follow the link, complete their registration details, and claim their reserved spot.
Payments
Corporate teams have a Payments tab, visible to captains and organizers, showing:- Outstanding balance — the total amount currently owed for subsidized entries. Click the balance to open a breakdown, then click Settle up with Stripe to generate an invoice and pay via Stripe.
- Invoice history — a list of past invoices, each showing the date, amount, and status (pending or paid).
If there is any tax on the outstanding balance, it will be included when you
generate an invoice.
