Events licensed by British Triathlon require every participant to hold a valid British Triathlon membership or purchase a one-day Race Pass. The checkout handles this automatically — participants confirm their status and either enter their membership number or purchase a pass, all within the registration flow.

Participant checkout experience

Each participant is asked: Are you a British Triathlon member?

Yes responses

The participant enters their British Triathlon membership number. The number is validated before they can continue.

No responses

The participant chooses which Race Pass to purchase: The participant must agree to the British Triathlon Race Pass terms and conditions before completing their purchase. The terms are linked directly in the checkout.

Cost and payment

Race Pass charges are collected in full at checkout. They are not spread across installments if the participant is paying by a payment plan — the pass fee is collected upfront regardless of how the rest of the registration fee is paid.

Registration transfers

If a participant transfers their registration to another person, the Race Pass transfers with it. The new participant inherits the Race Pass already attached to that registration and does not need to pay again.
