# Connecting Stripe

> How to connect your Stripe account to Let's Do This so that registration payments are deposited into your bank account.

  You need to connect a Stripe account before you can receive payments from
  registrations. Events can go live without a connected Stripe account, but
  payouts will not be processed until the connection is complete.

Let's Do This uses Stripe to process payments and send the money to you. When a participant checks out, the funds flow through Stripe and are deposited into the bank account linked to your Stripe account. The Let's Do This team connects your Stripe account to your events once the authorization is complete.

## How payments work

When a participant completes checkout, the payment is collected by Let's Do This via Stripe. Funds are paid out to your Stripe account on a rolling basis, typically within a few business days depending on your Stripe payout schedule. Let's Do This applies its platform fee before the remaining amount is sent to you.

## Connecting your Stripe account

Let's Do This will send you a Stripe connection link. The link is specific to your account's currency, so use the one sent to you rather than navigating there directly.

    You are taken to Stripe's website to complete the connection:

    * **If you already have a Stripe account** — sign in to your existing Stripe account and authorize the connection to Let's Do This.
    * **If you don't have a Stripe account** — Stripe will guide you through creating one. You will need to provide your business details and bank account information.

    After authorizing on Stripe, you are redirected back to Let's Do This. The Let's Do This team will then apply the connected account to your events so that payments flow through correctly.

## Re-enabling Stripe

If your Stripe connection is removed or becomes inactive, contact Let's Do This support. They will send you a new connection link and re-apply the account to your events once reconnected.

## Processing fees

The platform fee charged by Let's Do This is shown in **Settings → Payments**. This section displays the fee structure applied to your account — a percentage, a fixed amount, or both. The fee is deducted from each order before the remainder is paid out to you.

You can view your processing fee breakdown in the Payments settings at any time, but the fee itself is set by Let's Do This and is not editable from the dashboard.
