# Repeating events

> Add multiple future dates and times to an event so participants can register for the instance that suits them.

Repeating events let you offer the same event across multiple dates — for example, a monthly trail run or a weekly parkour session — without rebuilding your setup from scratch each time. You create one fully configured event, then use the **Repeat** feature to generate additional instances from it. Each instance is a separate event occurrence that participants can book independently.

We recommend completing your event setup — races, tickets, registration forms, descriptions — before adding repeat dates. The more complete your template, the less you'll need to edit each new instance individually.

## Adding repeat dates

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Repeat event modal">
    From your organizer dashboard, find your event and click the **⋯** menu on the event card. Select **Repeat event**.

    You can also open this from within the event dashboard — look for the **Add repeat dates/times** link.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select your dates and times">
    The modal shows your template event on the left. On the right, use the **Date** and **Time** fields to add each new occurrence:

    1. Enter a date and time.
    2. Click **Add**.
    3. Repeat for each date you want to add.

    Dates are shown in your event's configured timezone. You cannot add the same date and time twice — the **Add** button is disabled for duplicate entries.

    Remove a date from the list by clicking the **×** next to it before confirming.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Review the list of dates you're adding, then click **Confirm**. The new instances are created immediately.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What happens after you repeat

Each new instance starts as **unlisted** — not visible to the public on Let's Do This or in search engines. This gives you time to review and adjust each occurrence before it goes live. When you're ready to open registrations for a date, contact your account manager to list it.

A success message confirms the dates that were created, and reminds you that they are unlisted until you publish them.

## Managing instances

To see all dates for a repeating event, open the event dashboard and click **All dates/times**. This opens a full-screen view listing every occurrence — past and upcoming.

Each occurrence card shows:

* The date, time, and timezone.
* Whether the instance is **Listed** (publicly visible) or **Unlisted**.
* A **Past** label for dates that have already happened (shown at reduced opacity).

From the **⋯** menu on each card you can:

* **Edit event** — open that occurrence's setup to adjust dates, descriptions, tickets, or any other settings.
* **View** (if listed) — open the public event page for that occurrence.
* **Preview** (if unlisted) — open a private preview link.
* **Repeat event** — add further dates using this occurrence as the template.

You can filter the list to show or hide past events, unlisted events, and non-bookable events.

## Editing individual instances

Each occurrence is independent after creation — changes you make to one instance do not affect the others. To edit a specific date, open **All dates/times**, find the occurrence, and click **Edit event** from its menu.
