# Adding an event

> Create a new event on Let's Do This — from scratch or using an existing event as a starting point.

When you're ready to list a new event, open your organizer dashboard and click **Add event**. You'll be asked to choose how you want to start:

* **Copy an event** — use one of your existing events as a template. The listing content, tickets, and registration forms are carried across so you can adapt them. Choose this when the new event shares most of its setup with one you've already built. (See [Copying and renewing events](./copying-and-renewing-events) for a full walkthrough.)
* **Start from scratch** — open a blank event setup and build everything from the ground up.

Select your preferred path and click **Continue**. Either way, you land on the event setup screen — see [Event setup](./event-setup) for a full guide to configuring your races, tickets, registration forms, and event page content.
